The new year!!?
The Christmas and the New Year had been hipped with many bad news. The pains of a Tsunami lingers and the death toil increases. I came across this TV footage of this mother coming back to singapore with her daughter. Such bittersweet smile. Happy because the lives of her and her daughter are spared. Sad because of the missing son. I wouldn't fully understand her pain, unless I am a mother.
Yet death is not the only pain that can be caused by people. Friends [in general] around me have been going through quite a bit in life. I really admire their strength in their adversity. YEt, such incidents have make them quite short fused. I guess, unknowingly, this has hurt a few people .. Truthfully, for those who have mood swings, you are hurting a lot of people around you. I have friend that [till now is afraid of the other mood swing friend - ever since she screamed at her 3 years ago].
SERIOUSLY, which is harder? curb the mood or temper OR heal the wounds of fear and pain?
Is it so difficult to curb that mood or temper???
Love [friendship, too!] is giving your all in all. Giving of your heart to the people around you, and NOT
1. giving a part of your heart and live in the circle of you, nor is it
2. selectively love and care of the people around you.
Frankly, there isn't a need for a tsunami to reck the lives of people. One word, one action can have the same effect too!! Perhaps not in the aspects of taking the LIFe of a person, but killing the HEART of the person [a heart - which is more important]...
LIVING LIFE is not that easy yeah!.....

The frail nature of the life .. just highlights the beauty and the warmth of the human race. In times of such international diversify would people of all nations come together as ONE. Just like that case of SARS, singapore united as one to defeat that germs. As I did say bittersweet... It requires a major event as such to unite hearts. Well, it's just a time to grow =)
Frankly, what is life about? This miracle thing that everyone is trying to preserve? On one hand, people are trying their best to save lives. Yet, a couple recklessly crossed the road. They were at least 40 ++ .. crossing the road on a red man. The bus driver had to jam the breaks in time - just to prevent a fatal accident. Standing right infront of this, I closed my eyes and prayed -
LORD. please not now. not in front of me please!
.. well, all was safe.
Seriously, wat is this life about? People trying to fight for their lives, while people choose to risk it. I guess the question is not what life is about, but what you want for your life? It boils down to choice! The envirnoment may change uncontrolablely, but you can choose ur perception - optimistic or pessemtistic??
to love the people aroudn you or hurt them?
to apprecaite them or take them for granted?
so what's ur choice?
In finance, [before you make a choice] you have to look at the time horizon? How many lifetime do u have? What's your aim in life?
